I am thankful for birthdays... no really, I am. I love birthdays. Birthdays at our house are a big deal. I try to make them as special as I can. After all, you only have one short year to make the best of each year of age, and each year needs a good start to it. Since it's my birthday today, I thought it fitting to count it in my thankful posts. I've had some wonderful birthdays in wonderful places. And I've had some low key birthdays with not much going on, but no matter the year or circumstances I always try to look back on the previous year and search for new growth, changes, and remember special things about that year. Sometimes it is hard to watch the birthday number go up, but it's really not about the number... it's about the amount of life lived in each number. I love my birthdays. It reminds me of how far I've come. One of my favorite birthdays was spent on a cruise in the above picture. I can't think of a better way to spend a birthday!
